Dr. Suzette A. Chin

Shankar Kandaswamy, MD, FCCP, earned his medical degree from Thanjavur Medical College at Bharathidasan University in India. He completed his internal medicine residency at the Western Reserve Care System in Youngstown, Ohio. Following his residency, Dr. Kandaswamy completed a pulmonary and critical care fellowship at the Virginia Commonwealth University Hospital at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond. Dr. Kandaswamy is board certified in pulmonary medicine, internal medicine and critical care. Prior to joining Piedmont Physicians Group, Dr. Kandaswamy was in practice at the PAPP Clinic. His special interests include critical care, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, emphysema, asthma and allergies. Dr. Kandawamy is a member of the America College of Chest Physicians, the Southern Medical Association and the American Medical Association. In his spare time, Dr. Kandaswamy enjoys playing tennis, traveling and sports. Dr. Kandaswamy is accepting new patients and welcomes most major insurance plans. Alexander Gluzman, M.D., earned his medical degree from Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Ga. He completed his residency and pulmonary and criticalcare training at Emory University. He received his undergraduate degree from Emory University. Prior to joining Piedmont Physicians, Dr. Gluzman was in practice with Georgia Lung Associates. Dr. Gluzman has been practicing medicine for 10 years. He holdsboard certifications in critical care medicine, pulmonary disease and internal medicine. Dr. Gluzman specializes in advanced bronchoscopy techniques such as EBUS and electromagnetic navigational bronchoscopy. He will be providing intensive care coverage at Piedmont Atlanta, and is fluent in Russian. In his spare time, Dr. Gluzman enjoys spending time with family, reading and traveling. Dr. Gluzman welcomes new patients and accepts most insurance plans. Craig M. Patterson, M.D., completed his fellowship at the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center and the Ochsner Clinic Foundation in New Orleans, La. During his post-graduate training, he was selected as the inaugural Russell C. Klein Visiting Fellow for the LSUHSC Global Pulmonary Exchange Program with Ege University in Izmir, Turkey. He previously completed a residency in internal medicine at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and medical school at the Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans. He is a proud graduate of Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas and an Eagle Scout. Before joining Piedmont Physicians, Dr. Patterson was in practice with Georgia Lung Associates. He is board-certified in pulmonary disease, critical care medicine, and internal medicine. His professional interests include pulmonary hypertension, venous thromboembolic disease, and critical care medicine. He is a member of the American College of Chest Physicians and a participant in the ACCP's Pulmonary Vascular Disease One Network. Dr. Patterson enjoys cooking and travel. He is an avid fan of college athletics, marathon runner, husband, and father to twin boys. Dr. Patterson welcomes new patients and accepts most insurance plans.
