Parin Parikh, M.D., FACC, is a native Texan, having grown up in Plano and attended Plano Senior High School. He graduated from Yale University in New Haven, Conn., with honors and obtained his medical degree at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Baltimore, Md. Currently, less than five percent of the procedures in the United States are being performed using this new, innovative approach.Parikh also has specialty training in non-invasive cardiac and vascular imaging, including echocardiography, stress tests, nuclear medicine and peripheral vascular ultrasound studies. After several years of medical practice in Ohio, Dr. Paranandi moved to Texas at the end of 1999.He is board-certified in eight different specialties including Interventional Cardiology, Cardiovascular Disease, and Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine; CT Angiography by the Certification Board of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography; Echocardiography by the National Board of Echocardiography; Nuclear Cardiology by the Certification Board of Nuclear Cardiology; and Peripheral Vascular Medicine and Peripheral Endovascular Intervention by the American Board of Vascular Medicine. He remains up-to-date in all these medical specialty areas by maintaining current recertifications.Dr. Paranandi's clinical interests and efforts have expanded his professional expertise to include diagnostic imaging (CT, Echo, Nuclear Cardiology) and peripheral vascular medicine and interventions.
