I love being a vascular surgeon because it provides the opportunity to treat disease in all aspects of the body. I specialize in arterial disease, whether that means preventing an abdominal aortic aneurysm from rupturing or performing a bypass to end debilitating leg pain. Vascular surgery is a unique combination of traditional technical challenges and modern technology, which allows for minimally invasive procedures. Most important, vascular surgery allows me to create long-term relationships with my patients. I like to sit down and speak with patients and their families in order to create a family atmosphere where patients feel they can talk to me about anything.
