Additionally, he served as the heart failure director and associate cardiac cath lab director at VAMC, Cincinnati, Ohio. As an associate professor, he successfully mentored several medical trainees and his contributions to education have been recognized by successive teaching awards.With a clinical interest in advancing treatments for severe heart conditions, Dr. Ahmad has served as principal investigator for several clinical trials, authored numerous publications for peer-reviewed medical journals and presented at various local and regional conferences.
