Dr. Lebow completed a general surgery residency at the Louisiana State University School of Medicine, New Orleans, and a fellowship in Vascular Surgery at The University of Tennessee.Before his academic career, Dr. Lebow served as an Airborne Infantryman in the US Army’s 82nd Airborne Division and with the United Nations Command in Panmunjom, Korea. He attributes his discipline and perseverance to lessons learned in the military.Dr. Lebow has published multiple research articles in the field of vascular surgery and has presented his findings at national conferences. From 2008 to 2012, Dr. Lebow was the founding Medical Director of endovascular surgery at Northeast Georgia Medical Center where he helped bring modern endovascular surgery to the area. He then spent 10 years with University Surgical Vascular, a private practice in Athens, Georgia.His primary interest as a vascular specialist is treating Lower extremity peripheral vascular disease, specifically critical limb ischemia and claudication. He is certified in wound care and works closely with experienced podiatrists to facilitate the healing of diabetic foot wounds using a multi-disciplinary approach.A central tenet of Dr. Lebow’s philosophy is to prevent the need for hospit.
