Dr. Melissa L. Kirkwood

Dr. Timothy Oskin joins Texas Health Physicians Group as a board-certified vascular surgeon with 24 years of experience. He acted as division chief of vascular surgery at a busy regional health system, St. Luke's University Health Network, in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. In this role he acted as leader of the vascular program that grew from 3 hospitals to 12 facilities and started an independent medical school while overseeing 9 vascular surgeons as they developed a vascular fellowship. He focused on the improvement of quality patient care with the development of practice guidelines and protocols benchmarked by a national registry.Dr. Oskin earned his medical degree from Hahnemann University School of Medicine in Philadelphia. He then completed a general surgery residency at Washington Hospital Center in Washington, DC followed by specialty training in Vascular Surgery at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC. After joining a vascular practice in Pennsylvania, he returned to pursue further specialty training by completing an Endovascular Fellowship at the University of Maryland in Baltimore, MD. DeBakey Department of Surgery – Division of Vascular Surgery and Endovascular Therapy at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston and as Professor of Surgery at the Burnett School of Medicine at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth.While at Baylor College of Medicine, West was dedicated to providing a full spectrum of diagnostic evaluations and interventional treatments for problems with arterial and venous blood flow in the lower extremities, including problems with walking and wound healing related to reduced blood flow. He is skilled in the use of the latest operative and minimally invasive endovascular therapies, taking a conservative approach to treatment whenever possible.West is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Vascular Surgery. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. West earned his medical degree from Louisiana State University's School of Medicine in New Orleans and completed a National Institute of Health research fellowship at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, Mass. He received his general surgery training at the University of Alabama Hospital in Birmingham before completing a vascular surgery fellowship at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn.West specializes in diseases of the aorta, aortic aneurysms and aortic graft infections, aortic reconstruction/repair, deep vein thrombosis and varicose vein treatments, endovascular procedures for aneurysms and occlusive diseases, carotid artery disease and peripheral artery disease. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, a member of the Society of Vascular Surgery, southern Association of Vascular Surgery, the Eastern Vascular Society and the Society of Clinical Vascular Surgery. Dr. Deitch performs a broad range of open and minimally invasive procedures to promote improved circulatory health beyond abdominal aortic aneurysms, venous thrombosis, peripheral vascular disease, carotid artery disease, and other vascular conditions. Additionally, he focuses on the care of vascular trauma patients and those with comorbidities related to diabetes.Dr. Deitch earned his medical degree at New York Medical College in Valhalla. He completed his general surgery residency at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine in The Bronx, N.Y. He served as chief resident during his final year in residency. Dr. Deitch went on to complete his vascular surgery fellowship at Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, N.C., and his endovascular surgery fellowship at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark.Dr. Deitch has served as an investigator for a variety of clinical trials in vascular procedures and treatments, and has published extensively in the field of vascular surgery.
