Dr. Aladine A. Elsamadicy is an Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery in the Department of Neurosurgery at Donald and Barbra Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell Health. He completed his undergraduate studies at Vanderbilt University, where he studied biomedical engineering and mathematics, and was awarded Vanderbilt Top 10 Outstanding Seniors Award. He completed his medical degree at the Duke University School of Medicine where he developed his passion for Neurosurgery and Spine. Dr. Elsamadicy was a Feagin Leadership Scholar and received multiple research awards including the Eugen A. Stead, Jr. Research Scholarship and the B.W. Stiles Scholarship.Dr. Elsamadicy completed his neurosurgery residency at the Yale-New Haven Hospital, where he was awarded with the Dennis D. Spencer Award in Academic Achievement, the Resident Teaching Award, and the Paul Kalanithi Award. Before he completed his training, he completed a Pediatric Spine Deformity Fellowship at Shriners Hospital for Children in Philadelphia and later served as Chief Resident for the Department of Neurosurgery.Dr. Elsamadicy has published over 250 peer-reviewed publications mostly focused on clinical outcomes research in Neurosurgery and Spine Surgery.
