Sandeep Goyal, MBBS, earned his medical degree from Maulana Azad Medical College in New Delhi, India. He completed his cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology fellowships at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, Tenn. His internal medicine residency was fulfilled at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine and Boston University School of Medicine. Prior to joining Piedmont Heart, Dr. Goyal served as the Chief Clinical Fellow of cardiac electrophysiology at Vanderbilt. Dr. Goyal is board certified in internal medicine & cardiology. He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in cardiovascular disease and clinical cardiac electrophysiology and by the North America Society of Pacing and Electrophysiology. Dr. Smith is an affiliate member of the American College of Physicians and is a member of the American Medical Association and the Heart Rhythm Society.
