Philosophy of care | Patients with chronic diseases need special care and attention. It's important for me to educate patients so they feel more in control of their disease and their lives. | Why I entered medicine | Rheumatology is a very challenging specialty for physicians as well as for patients. The diseases are complex and encompass every field of medicine. Growing up in my community I was always grateful for the care given to me and my family. As a result, I wanted to provide my community medical care they needed, particularly those with challenging rheumatic illnesses. | Community involvement | Growing up in the Lehigh Valley, I enjoy participating in events with the Arthritis Foundation and running local races with my father. | Personal interests | Spending time with my family and friends. I also enjoy running outdoors and exercise when time allows.
