Dr. Leenhapong Navaravong

Dr. Navaravong is originally from Thailand. He received his medical degree from Faculty of Medicine, Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University in Bangkok, Thailand. He worked in Thailand for three years as general practitioner before deciding to come to the United States to pursue advanced training in medicine. He finished his internship at the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center and internal medicine residency at the University of Minnesota. He went to Baystate Medical Center in Massachusetts for Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship and the University of Utah for Cardiac Electrophysiology Fellowship.After graduating from the fellowships, he served as a cardiac electrophysiologist in Iowa and later as Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Utah School of Medicine. Currently, his passion in caring for cardiac arrhythmia patients brought him to Intermountain Health at Utah Valley Hospital. His primary focus is caring for patients with heart rhythm disorders (irregular, slow or fast heart beats and arrhythmia related to heart attack and/or heart dysfunction). His work philosophy is about the best quality/compassionate care and spending quality time helping patients and their family in a timely manner.Dr. Navaravong is a father of two children who are heavily involved in sports and music. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, travelling, and running.
