He treats patients who have cancer of the urinary system, including the bladder, prostate, kidney, testicle, penis and adrenal gland.Dr. Richards is an expert in both bladder and prostate cancers. He and his team perform innovative, minimally invasive surgical procedures for complex urological cancers. He performs reconstructive urology for patients with neurogenic bladder (lack of bladder control due to a neurological condition) and narrowing or blockage of the ureter. Dr. Richards works alongside the radiology and pathology departments to develop a comprehensive care plan that’s tailored to each of his patients.Dr. Richards believes in education for his patients. He spends a lot of time helping his patients understand their cancer and their treatment options so they can make informed decisions.
