Overview
Gastroenterology is the perfect mix of clinical medicine and procedures. I enjoy the intellectual aspects of gastroenterology coupled with the equally stimulating procedures. I also enjoy the large variety of interesting pathology this specialty has to offer. Additionally, gastroenterology is a field where I can have a tangible and often immediate impact on a patient’s life. This balance of care and patient outcomes is what I find greatly rewarding. As a gastroenterologist, I am able to treat a wide spectrum of gastroenterology diseases, but my particular interests are in luminal gastroenterology, including colorectal cancer screening, inflammatory bowel disease and C. diff colitis. I believe medicine requires a team approach that includes primary care, specialists and many other medical providers. My goal is to listen to and address each patient’s needs in order to help them achieve their best possible level of health.
