Dr. Gandharv Telhan is a primary care physician board certified in family medicine. He joins Inova Medical Group with over three years of clinical experience. He has a special interest in the management of preventative healthcare. Most recently Dr. Telhan served as the chief resident of family medicine at the Adena Regional Medical Center. Dr. Telhan became interested in family medicine because he enjoys taking care of pediatric, adolescent, OBGYN, adult and geriatric patients, and is enthusiastic about developing meaningful relationships with his patients. His goal is to help his patients live a happy and healthy life. In Dr. Telhan’s own words, “I became a physician because I love people and I am blessed to be able to live a life of service where I can heal and care for my patients. I cherish my patients and nothing gives me greater joy than taking away the suffering of another and bringing a smile to their face. I believe as Mother Teresa said that we can do not great things, we can only do small things with great love. I am thankful to be able to live a life of learning. Medicine is not a profession for me, it is a calling.” Dr. Telhan received an Excellence in Patient Care award and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, American Medical Association and Medical Society of Virginia.
