Dr. Nuria Lacuey Lecumberri is fellowship trained in epilepsy and neurophysiology and sees adult patients for a variety of neurological disorders and conditions. Dr. Lacuey Lecumberri received her medical degree from the Universidad de Navarra in Pamplona, Spain and completed residency training in neurology at Vall d’Hebron University Hospital in Barcelona. She subsequently trained in epilepsy and neurophysiology with a two-year fellowship at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio, joining the faculty there in 2016. She received her doctorate cum laude from the Autonomous University of Barcelona in 2018 with a dissertation on sudden unexpected death in epilepsy. She joined the Department of Neurology at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston in 2019. An assistant professor of neurology at McGovern Medical School, Dr. Lacuey Lecumberri treats adult patients at UTHealth Neurosciences-Neurology. She is fluent in both English and Spanish. La Dra.
