Dr. Omar Qazi

Dr. Omar Qazi is a board-certified internal medicine physician with the Orlando Health Support Team for Aftercare and Resources Outpatient Center, where he also serves as a physician consultant for Orlando Health House Calls. He provides comprehensive care for adult patients recently discharged from the hospital, and his specialties include: Transitions of care Advanced clinical reasoning Point-of-care ultrasound Medical jeopardy Since he joined Orlando Health in 2016, Dr. Qazi has held a variety of positions including hospitalist, associate director of inpatient medicine and faculty member of the internal medicine residency program. Dr. Qazi’s Training Dr. Qazi received his bachelor’s degree in molecular biology and microbiology from the University of Central Florida in Orlando. He earned his medical degree from the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine in Tampa and completed his residency in internal medicine with Orlando Health, where he served as chief resident. He also completed his master’s degree in healthcare administration at Louisiana State University in Shreveport. About Dr. Qazi Dr. Qazi is board certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians, and his professional memberships include the American College of Healthcare Executives and Florida Medical Association. He received an Early Career Physician Award from the Florida chapter of the American College of Physicians and the Physician Excellence Award from Orlando Health Orlando Regional Medical Center. Dr. Qazi has served as an assistant professor of internal medicine at Florida State University and at UCF, where he won several teaching awards. He was a member of the state championship basketball team at Edgewater High School in Orlando. Outside of work, Dr. Qazi enjoys songwriting, basketball and playing instruments.

His clinical expertise encompasses Sepsis, Familial Neurocardiogenic Syncope, Pulmonary Embolism, Pacemaker Implantation, and Cardiac Ablation.
