Skin cancer diagnosis, treatment, and prevention. Skin and hair disorders in adults and children. I chose dermatology because it enables me to do all the things I like best about medicine: talk to patients face-to-face and put their clues together with my visual and dermatoscopic exam, microscope and surgical findings to solve their skin problems. I considered specializing in pediatrics and pediatric dermatology until I realized I really enjoy treating patients of all ages. For me, the patient comes first. All decisions easily stem from that. I have three children and enjoy the Minnesota outdoors, camping and kayaking and biking, as much as possible.
