Dr. Richard T. Lee is the director of the Regenerative Medicine Center at Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH). A specialist in cardiovascular medicine, he is a professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School (HMS) as well as a professor of Stem Cell and Regenerative Biology at Harvard University.He received his medical degree at Weill Cornell Medical College. He then completed a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in cardiovascular disease at BWH. Dr. Lee is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease.Dr. Lee’s clinical and research interests include general cardiology and the application of biotechnology fundamentals to develop new approaches to cardiovascular diseases. His research laboratory uses a variety of techniques in genomics, stem cell biology and molecular biology in studying cardiac regeneration, aging and metabolism. He has authored over 230 peer-reviewed publications and received research funding from the American Heart Association and the National Institutes of Health.
