Dr. Shoko Mori
Overview
Dr. Shoko Mori is a board-certified dermatologist and Assistant Professor of Dermatology at the Zucker School of Medicine/Northwell.
She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor where she majored in Biopsychology, Cognition and Neuroscience and graduated with honors. She then earned her medical degree at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University in Brooklyn, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society. During her time in medical school, she conducted research on the management of complex skin cancers such as melanoma and squamous cell carcinoma at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Her work has been published in JAMA Dermatology, the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, and the Journal of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network.
Dr. Mori completed her dermatology residency at NY Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center. Her clinical interests include general and complex medical dermatology, ranging from common skin conditions such as acne, rosacea and eczema, to blistering disorders and autoimmune skin conditions. She also performs surgeries of skin cancers, cysts, and lipomas, as well as cosmetic procedures including Botox, lasers and chemical peels. She is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology, Women s Dermatologic Society, and the Japanese Medical Society of America.
Dr. Mori believes in an empathetic, patient-centered approach, and is dedicated to providing comprehensive dermatologic care to all of her patients. She speaks English and Japanese fluently.
