Previously, she was the medical director of the Brigham and Women’s Hospital Burn Center. Dr. Nitzschke’s current research is focused on the acute resuscitation needs of patients with shock. She has been involved in various research endeavors such as the evaluation of the triage process for elderly trauma patients and the care of patients with necrotizing soft tissue infections.
