Dr. Sumalatha Nandikonda

Dr. Sumalatha Nandikonda began her medical journey at one of India’s premier medical institutions. Following her graduation from medical school, she moved to the United States to pursue advanced training, completing a rigorous three-year Internal Medicine Residency at Lankenau Medical Center, part of Main Line Health in Philadelphia, PA.

After gaining valuable experience as a Hospitalist for seven years, Dr. Sumalatha Nandikonda pursued her passion for rheumatology by joining the Rheumatology Clinic at Cox Medical Center in Springfield, Missouri. At that time she developed a strong foundation in diagnosing and treating a wide range of rheumatologic conditions.

Eager to deepen her expertise, Dr. Nandikonda pursued additional Two year fellowship training in Rheumatology at the University of Central Florida/HCA Florida Healthcare/VA Medical Center in Lake Nona, Orlando,Florida—one of the top programs in the country. Over the course of her two-year fellowship, she trained under a distinguished group of rheumatologists, gaining comprehensive experience in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Dr. Nandikonda presented her work at national conferences like CCR(Congress of Clinical Rheumatology) and FSR(Florida Society of Rheumatology).She is also member of professional organization like ACR(American College of Rheumatology) and AWIR(Association of Woman In Rheumatology)
