Overview
Dr. Sadie Ahanchi is a Vascular Surgeon with VIVA. She joined the practice in 2022 after a decade of providing quality vascular services in coastal Virginia. In addition to her open surgical skill set, she has a special interest in minimally invasive, endovascular techniques including treatment of peripheral arterial disease (PAD) with angioplasty/stenting, treatment of carotid disease with transcarotid artery revascularization (T-CAR), and treatment of varicose veins with endovascular ablation.
Dr. Ahanchi received her medical degree from the University of Illinois, performed residency training at the University of Illinois in Chicago at Mt. Sinai Hospital Medical Center and completed vascular surgery fellowship training at Eastern Virginia Medical School. She is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation.
Dr. Ahanchi has been published in more than 50 peer review publications, has been a guest speaker at numerous conferences and has served as an investigator in over 30 research studies. Dr Ahanchi also has an interest in women’s health, especially pertaining to vascular health.
