Steven R. Savona, MD, is an attending physician based at the Monter Cancer Center where his major clinical interests include blood disorders such as malignant and non-malignant hematology diseases as well as oncology expertise in the areas of diseases of the skin including melanoma, basal cell cancer and squamous cell cancer; he also sees patients with colorectal cancer and pancreas cancer. Dr. Savona maintains an active medical practice focusing on compassionate, personalized, evidence-based multi-disciplinary care. Board certified in Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology, Hematology and Hospice/Palliative medicine, Dr. Savona is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. Dr. Savona earned his medical degree from Duke University School of Medicine. He completed both his residency in internal medicine and his fellowship in Medical Oncology/Hematology at New York University Medical Center. Dr. Savona is an active member of the American Society of Hematology and the American Society of Clinical Oncology.
