Dr. Wilmer is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease. He is a fellow of both the American College of Cardiology and the American College of Physicians. She is also a fellow of the American College of Cardiology.Outside of the hospital, Dr. Sharma enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.Dr. Sharma accepts most insurance plans. He is trained in Cardiovascular CT angiography and is skilled in a variety of diagnostic procedures including heart catheterization, pacemaker and defibrillator implantation, and transesophageal echocardiography.He is the Medical Director for the western region of Piedmont Heart Institute, and is also the Medical Director of Piedmont Heart Institute Imaging Labs- Echocardiography. Although his primary focus is on cardiology, Dr. Desai's training and practice is based on a philosophy of holistic medicine - caring for patients as a whole rather than disease entities.
