He held the position of assistant professor of medicine in the Division of Cardiology at the University of Florida College of Medicine.Dr. Monroe was one of the first cardiologists in this area to perform radial catheterizations. Currently, Dr. Monroe is involved in a number of cardiology research studies either as principal investigator, co-investigator or sub-investigator, or protocol co-author. The studies range from establishing condition-specific treatment guidelines to examining the safety and efficacy of pharmacological treatments.
