Dr. Robert L. Huang

A specialist in peripheral vascular disease, Dr. Brian H. Negus joined The Chattanooga Heart Institute from private practice in Gainesville, Georgia, where he also served as director of the cardiology laboratory at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.He received his doctor of medicine degree from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta and completed both his internship and residency in internal medicine and cardiology fellowship at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas. He conducted his fellowship in interventional cardiology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he then served as assistant professor of medicine in the interventional cardiology section.Dr. Negus’ work with research has included projects conducted at the Medical College of Georgia and Parkland Memorial as well as at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia.Board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular diseases, he is a member of the Chattanooga-Hamilton County Medical Society. His areas of focus include a wide range of cardiovascular conditions and treatments, with expertise in non-invasive diagnostic studies.Since joining The Chattanooga Heart Institute in 2003, Dr. Warren has become a valued leader at CHI Memorial and in the Chattanooga medical community. He currently serves as managing partner of The Chattanooga Heart Institute, where he collaborates with over 30 colleagues. He previously chaired the CHI Memorial Board of Directors.Dr. Warren possesses a broad range of clinical interests and expertise. His dedication to patient care stems from a deep love of science combined with a genuine ability to connect with patients on a personal level. The complexity and diverse treatment options within cardiovascular care drew him to this field, allowing him to help critically ill patients recover and thrive. He was the recipient of CHI Memorial’s inaugural St. Luke’s Healer’s Heart award which recognizes physicians and providers for demonstrating compassion, inclusion, integrity, excellence and collaboration.Dr. Warren's commitment extends beyond clinical practice. Dr. Andrew Fowler is a cardiologist at The Chattanooga Heart Institute. He is board-certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular diseases, and interventional cardiology. Dr. Fowler completed his fellowship in cardiology at the Medical University of South Carolina, where he also pursued advanced training in interventional cardiology. Prior to that, he completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He graduated magna cum laude from Furman University with a B.S. in chemistry and a B.A. in music. With a patient-centered approach, Dr. Fowler believes in a shared decision-making process with his patients. His goal is to help patients achieve longer lives and allow for a better quality of life. He was inspired to become a physician so that he could be with others in their time of need and finds great fulfillment in fostering meaningful relationships with his patients.He is particularly drawn to the anatomy, physiology, and hemodynamics of cardiology, and is excited about the advancements in the field that help patients feel better and live longer. Dr. Fowler was instrumental in integrating fractional flow reserve, a technique which improves the ability to see the significance of a blockage, into catheterizations in Chattanooga. He views advancements in imaging technology as a significant evolution in his field, which makes for better decision-making and allows patients to avoid unnecessary procedures.Outside of work, Dr. Fowler enjoys spending time with his wife, creating music with loved ones, and playing pickleball.
