Dr. Raymond Y. Kwong

Dr. Raymond Y. Kwong is the director of Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) at Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH). A cardiovascular medicine specialist, he is also a professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School (HMS).Dr. Kwong received his medical degree from University of Toronto Faculty of Medicine. He completed a residency in internal medicine at Vancouver General Hospital and a fellowship in cardiovascular disease at The George Washington University Hospital. He then completed a cardiac MRI fellowship program at the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institutes of Health. Dr. Kwong is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease.He has authored over 290 peer-reviewed publications. His clinical interests and research focus on cardiac imaging, specifically the use of cardiac MRI to assess ventricular remodeling after acute myocardial infarction.
