Dr. Pervaiz earned his medical degree at King Edward Medical University in Lahore, Pakistan. He came to the United States in 2003 and served for a year as a research associate for Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Ill. He went on to complete his internal medicine residency and cardiovascular disease fellowship at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine in East Lansing in 2010. Dr. Pervaiz also completed advanced fellowship training in interventional cardiology and endovascular interventions at Harvard Medical School in Boston, Mass. and a structural heart disease interventions fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Mich. Dr. Pervaiz comes to Texas Health Heart and Vascular Specialists from Melbourne, Fla., where he served as Medical Director of the Structural Heart Disease Program at Holmes Regional Medical Center. Dr. Pervaiz also served as Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine and received a Clinical Faculty of The Year Award in 2016.
