Overview
Dr. Banerjee received his medical degree from R.G. Kar Medical College, Calcutta, India. He joined the Cardiology Program at the University of Louisville, Kentucky where he had the opportunity to work with nationally known cardiogists in the field of Cardiovascular Diagnosis and Research. Devoting time to teaching resident doctors and medical students in the Bakersfield area, Dr. Banerjee loves his chosen field of medicine. He spends time with patients and their families to establish a strong physician/patient relationship.At Comprehensive Cardiovascular Medical Group, we believe we must be there for our patients, their families, our employees, our physicians, and our community. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, Nuclear Cardiology, Vascular Medicine, and Endovascular Medicine.Throughout his career, Dr. Kumar has held leadership positions, including Chairman of Cardiology and Director of the Cardiac Cath Lab at San Joaquin Hospital. He has also served as President of the American Heart Association's Kern County Chapter. His dedication to cardiovascular research has led to numerous publications, clinical trials, and conference presentations.Dr. Kumar's contributions have been recognized with multiple honors, including the Physician of the Year Award from the U.S. Congress (2003) and the Ronald Reagan Gold Medal for Outstanding Community Service (2004).
