Anthony J. Lewis, MD, is a fellowship-trained vascular surgeon who provides the full spectrum of vascular surgical care, including minimally invasive and endovascular procedures, in addition to traditional open surgery when needed. His clinical interests include treatment of aortic diseases such as aneurysms or dissections, carotid artery endarterectomy/stenting, peripheral arterial bypass surgery, endovascular angioplasty and stenting procedures, vascular trauma, renal and mesenteric artery stenting, hemodialysis access, and minimally invasive treatment of venous conditions such as blood clots (DVT) and varicose veins.|Dr. Lewis earned his medical degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch, followed by residency training in general surgery at the University of Pittsburgh, where he was administrative chief resident in his final year. He completed a three-year research fellowship during residency, which culminated in a master’s degree in clinical research from the University of Pittsburgh. He did his clinical fellowship training in vascular surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.

Stent placement for renal artery disease and mesenteric disease are also procedures he commonly performs. Dr. Elmore likes to treat all his patients as if they are his own family members.
