Overview
Dr. Deepa Raghunathan earned her undergraduate degree in biomedical engineering at The University of Texas at Austin and her medical degree at Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine. She completed her residency in internal medicine at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and a fellowship in cardiovascular diseases at McGovern Medical School at The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston (UTHealth), where she served as chief fellow. Dr. Raghunathan is board certified in internal medicine, cardiology, echocardiography and nuclear cardiology and has completed Level III training in echocardiography. Her primary clinical interests are general cardiology, cardiovascular disease, structural cardiology, echocardiography, preventative cardiology and management of coronary artery disease, valvular disease and heart failure. She has been in practice since 2013. She is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.
