As the section director of hernia surgery at LIJ Medical Center, Dr. Held works closely with new innovations in hernia care and is heavily involved in the robotic hernia center at LIJ Valley Stream, which achieved dual accreditations from the SRC as a Center of Excellence in both hernia surgery and robotic surgery.Averaging about 900 cases a year for the better part of three decades, Dr. Held has seen a lot over his career and has become very sensitive to patient feedback and observation.
