His clinical interests include abdominal/thoracic aortic aneurysm/dissection repair, carotid artery stenting and endarterectomy, PVD balloon angioplasty/stenting and lower extremity bypass, endovenous treatments, endovascular thrombolytic therapy for acute DVT, and hemodialysis procedures. Dr. Nikam earned his medical degree from B.J. Medical College, Pune, in India. He then moved to the United States to complete his residency at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center. He completed a fellowship in vascular surgery at Geisinger Medical Center. Dr. Nikam is certified by the American Board of Surgery in surgery and vascular surgery. He speaks English, Hindi and Marathi.
