Dr. Jimmie Cannon

A specialist in peripheral vascular disease, Dr. Brian H. Negus joined The Chattanooga Heart Institute from private practice in Gainesville, Georgia, where he also served as director of the cardiology laboratory at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.He received his doctor of medicine degree from the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta and completed both his internship and residency in internal medicine and cardiology fellowship at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas. He has had specialized training in nuclear cardiology, diagnostic cardiac catheterization, cardiac magnetic resonance imaging, autonomic pharmacology, cardiovascular pharmacology, and echocardiography. He has been published in the American Journal of Roentgenology, Neuroscience and The Journal of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics.He is the director of the echocardiography lab and CT cardiovascular program at Memorial Hospital. He plays an instrumental part in the ongoing progress of the cardiovascular CT program. He is helping to coordinate the introduction of a valve clinic to The Chattanooga Heart Institute. Dr. Charles L. Wilmer received his undergraduate degree from Amherst College in Amherst, Massachusetts.
