Dr. Sara Mobasseri

Dr. Mashman attended the University of Connecticut and NYU School of Medicine. His Residency, Chief Residency, and CV Fellowship were at Emory University. Dr. Mashman is board certified in Cardiovascular Disease, and in Comprehensive Echocardiography. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and of the American Society of Echocardiography. Dr. Mashman's interests include Sports Cardiology, General cardiology, Cardiac Imaging, and non-cardiac surgery. Dr. Mashman has contributed to national practice guidelines and authored book chapters on these topics. He was the founding Deputy Editor of the Journal of the American College of Cardiology: Cardiovascular Interventions. He has been the Director of the Atlanta Regional Society of Echocardiography, and has served on the Echocardiography Committee of the American College of Cardiology. Dr. Mashman has been based at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital for many years, and served on many of Piedmont's committees. He is currently Director of Sports Cardiology for Piedmont Healthcare. Raul Blanco, M.D. FACC, received his Bachelors of Science in biology with a minor in chemistry and a Bachelors of Arts in economics with a minor in mathematics from the University of Miami in Miami, FL. He then went on to earn his medical degree from the University of Miami School Of Medicine. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Emory University. Prior to joining Piedmont Heart, Dr. Blanco completed fellowships in cardiology and advanced cardiac imaging at Emory University. Dr. Blanco is board certified in Cardiology, Nuclear Cardiology, Cardiovascular CT and Cardiac MRI. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography, Society for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance, American Society of Echocardiography, and the American Heart Association.Dr. Blanco enjoys traveling and has visited over 26 countries and most of the United States. He recently he has been exploring the Georgia mountains and the many parks and trails in the Atlanta area with his wife and two daughters.Dr. Blanco welcomes new patients and accepts most insurance plans.
