Overview
Chituru Adele, MD received his medical degree from the University of Ibadan and University College Hospital in Ibadan, Nigeria in 1984. He completed his internal medicine internship and residency at the Hospital of St. Raphael in New Haven, CT. Following his residency, Dr. Adele was granted a research fellowship at Yale University. Dr. Adele then went on to the University of Vermont to complete his cardiology fellowship, followed by his interventional cardiology fellowship. Dr. Adele is board certified in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. He has been a physician with Atlanta Heart Associates since 1997. His clinical and research interests are in the field of hypertension, heart failure with preserved ejection fraction and cardiovascular magnetic resonance perfusion imaging.In his spare time, Dr. Kuruvilla enjoys spending time with his family, reading books, watching documentaries and playing tennis.
