Overview
Dr. Victor E. Corrigan received his undergraduate degree with summa cum laude honors from the University of Georgia. He received his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia, where he was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha, an honors medical society. He completed his internship,residency and fellowship in cardiology at Emory University Hospital. In 1989, Dr. Corrigan joined the one of the three legacy cardiology practices that later merged to formPiedmont Heart Institute. He is a former president of the Georgia chapter of the American College of Cardiology and Medical Director of the American Heart Association for Metro Atlanta. Dr. Corrigan is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular diseases and interventional cardiology and is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology. He was formerly the medical director of the heart transplant team and director of the Coronary Care Unit at Saint Joseph's Hospital of Atlanta. He is actively involved in multiple medical device studies and pharmaceutical clinical studies.

He completed his Internal Medicine residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and Parkland Hospital in Dallas, Texas in 2010, also serving as a Chief Medicine Resident from 2010-2011. He completed his clinical and research fellowships in Cardiovascular Disease at Duke University and at the Duke Clinical Research Institute in 2015, with additional sub-specialty training in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology from 2015-2016 also at Duke University. Dr. Krishnamoorthy is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, and Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology. In his spare time, Dr. Krishnamoorthy enjoys ultimate frisbee, Atlanta college and professional sports, travel, and spending time with family.
