I treat children because I find it really rewarding to help make a difference with their conditions. Heart diseases can be the most challenging, so seeing them achieve positive outcomes is quite rewarding. Kids are ill through no fault of their own, and helping them see improvements is an amazing blessing. I am passionate about delivering high-level care. Our patients and their families are coming to us in their time of need and they should expect and receive the utmost care for their most prized possession — their health. It’s our job to fulfill that expectation. In addition to providing high-level care, I believe we have an obligation to share our knowledge with successive generations and I believe teaching should be a passion of everyone in the health care field. This helps the medical field as a whole improve and all of us to provide our patients with the highest level of care. I try to make a difference by bringing humor and respect to daily interactions. We all work to be excellent in our respective fields, however it is the human component that separates the good from the great. I try to be both technically good and expressly human in all that I do.
