Overview
My exposure to medicine and science started when I was young. I enjoyed spending time at the hospital and the clinic with my father after school and during summer vacations. I had the opportunity to accompany my sisters in their labs during their college years. My interest in family medicine peaked during my final year of medical school. The breadth of knowledge that family medicine physicians had was beyond comparison in my eyes. The ability to keep people healthy or to guide those towards healthier lives was and is my calling. What I want my patients to know about me:I am someone who appreciates and respects relationships. I look forward to building these with my patients. I look forward to caring for generations of families. I am extremely passionate about helping patients live healthy lives. Within this I practice a wide scope of medicine as many family physicians do. My keen interests include obesity medicine, adolescent medicine and women's healthcare.What I do when I'm not seeing patients:I run a busy household with my family and their activities, so we are constantly out and exploring by taking hikes, riding our bikes, visiting museums, science centers, zoos and aquariums anywhere we can. I love to run and play tennis when the weather cooperates. I practice yoga and meditation quite often, which keeps me in tune with my mind and body. I do love to travel and cook as well and find this to be quite relaxing and adventurous.
