Dr. Paul Gerczuk is a board-certified cardiac electrophysiologist with Florida Medical Clinic Orlando Health specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac arrhythmias. He has been a well-established and high-volume electrophysiology operator in the Tampa Bay area for more than 12 years, with extensive experience in complex catheter-based procedures and device therapies. His training continued with fellowships in cardiovascular research at the Heart Institute at Good Samaritan Hospital in Los Angeles, in general cardiology at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh and in cardiac electrophysiology at the University of South Florida in Tampa. He has particular expertise in catheter ablation procedures for atrial fibrillation and other complex arrhythmias. In addition, Dr. Gerczuk is experienced in left atrial appendage occlusion procedures, including the Watchman device, offering stroke-prevention alternatives for patients with atrial fibrillation who are unable to tolerate long-term anticoagulation. His procedural expertise also includes implantation and management of pacemakers, defibrillators and cardiac resynchronization therapy devices. Outside of work, Dr. Gerczuk enjoys spending time with family, cooking, live music and cheering on Toronto’s sports teams.
