Dr. Babu Jasti joined CIS in 2017 as an interventional cardiologist in Zachary.He earned his doctorate from Kasturba Medical College in Mangalore, India. He studied orthopedics, and then continued his education in internal medicine and cardiology at Cook County Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. There, he served as both resident and chief resident, earning awards for best intern and best resident.Dr. Jasti was an interventional cardiology fellow at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he also served as an assistant professor of medicine. He also holds positions in local hospital and national organization governing committees.In 2007, Dr. Thompson joined the CIS team as an interventional cardiologist in Zachary. In addition to providing general cardiovascular disease care, he has a special interest in syncope and cardiac electrophysiology.He and his wife Donna reside in Louisiana. They have six children and 4 grandchildren. His leisure time is spent traveling with family, woodworking, and refurbishing antique wood and metal working machines.
