Joseph Ortenberg, M.D., was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pa. He graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in biomedical engineering and mathematics from Vanderbilt University in Nashville. His medical education was completed at Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, where he was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society.
