Overview
Dr. Piotr S. Sobieszczyk is a member of the interventional cardiology team at Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH). A cardiovascular specialist, he is also an instructor in medicine at Harvard Medical School.He received his medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. He completed an internal medicine residency at Massachusetts General Hospital, as well a peripheral arterial and venous interventions fellowship at BWH. He then completed fellowships in interventional cardiology and interventional vascular medicine at BWH. Dr. Sobieszczyk is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology.Dr. Sobieszczyk’s clinical interests include carotid artery disease, structural heart disease, ventricular assist devices and high-risk coronary intervention. His research focuses on the medical and endovascular management of complex cardiovascular disease, including the management of peripheral artery disease. He has received research funding from the National Institutes of Health.
