Dr. Danielle D. Dang

Danielle D. Dang, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital specializing in brain tumors, pituitary and skull base tumors, stereotactic radiosurgery, and complex cranial neurosurgery. She also serves as Co-Director of the multidisciplinary Cranial Base Surgical Anatomy Lab.

Dr. Dang completed her neurosurgical residency at Inova Fairfax Medical Campus, a University of Virginia affiliate, as the first graduate of the program’s inaugural residency class. She subsequently completed post-graduate fellowship training in open and endoscopic skull base surgery at Mayo Clinic under Drs. Michael Link and Gelareh Zadeh. Her additional advanced training includes an enfolded fellowship in skull base surgical anatomy through the Rhoton Neurosurgery and Otolaryngology Surgical Anatomy Program at Mayo Clinic under Dr. Maria Peris-Celda and a research fellowship in translational neuro-oncology at the National Cancer Institute under Dr. Zhengping Zhuang.

Her clinical and academic interests center on skull base surgery, neuro-oncology, complex cranial surgery, surgical anatomy, and neurosurgical education. She has contributed to more than 100 peer-reviewed publications and national scientific presentations and has received national recognition by the North American Skull Base Society, Congress of Neurological Surgeons, the Neurosurgical Society of the Virginias, and the American Brain Tumor Association.
