Dr. Mateo Ziu is board certified in neurological surgery. He joined Inova Medical Group with more than 12 years of clinical experience and serves as the medical director of Inova Brain and Spine Tumor Program and medical director of neuro-oncology at Inova Schar Cancer Institute. He has completed a fellowship and gained advance training in the surgical management of brain, spine and pituitary tumors. He has a keen interest in the delivery of multidisciplinary evidence-based care for patients with benign and malignant nervous system tumors. He collaborates with world-wide clinical investigators in multiple clinical trials for patients with these tumors. Before joining Inova Medical Group Neurosurgery, Dr. Ziu practiced in Austin, TX where he was the Medical Director of the Brain and Spine Tumor Program and Pituitary Care Center of Seton Brain and Spine Institute.
