Dr. Michael A. Buckmire

Dr. Michael Buckmire is a board certified colon and rectal surgeon who performs all aspects of a colorectal surgical practice and provides individualized and compassionate care for patients with diseases of the colon, rectum and anus.  Dr. Buckmire earned his undergraduate degree from Duke University and received his medical degree from the University of  Maryland School of Medicine.  Dr. Buckmire completed training in general surgery at Hahnemann University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and finished his colorectal fellowship at Washington University/Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.  He performs open, laparoscopic and robotic colon surgery for indicated conditions of the colon and small bowel, such as Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, diverticulitis, colorectal and anal cancer and a variety of other conditions requiring surgical intervention.  He also performs colonoscopies, when indicated.My goal is to provide the highest quality surgical care available with an emphasis on advanced techniques. Patient care is the core value of my practice.
