Overview
Dr. Rana grew up in Southern California surrounded by medical professionals: Her father is a dentist, her sister is an optometrist, and her brother is a radiologist. This deeply influenced her decision to undertake a career in medicine.Dr. Rana has done research in the fields of stress and inflammatory bowel disease, diabetes and kinetics. She has presented her findings before numerous professional organizations and has lectured on topics including systemic sclerosis, meningitis, hyperthyroidism, hypertension, and diverticulitis.Dr. Rana holds a master of healthcare administration degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, Pennsylvania. She earned her DO degree from West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine and did her Internal Medicine residency at Millcreek Community Hospital in Erie, PA.She has volunteered as a tutor and mentor in California and West Virginia. She has also volunteered in the children’s oncology department assisting nurses at CHOC Children’s Hospital in Orange, California.In her spare time, Dr. Rana enjoys hiking with her dog.
