I've wanted to be a physician since I was a child, and my interest in hepatology was piqued in high school when I had the opportunity to shadow a hepatologist. My commitment to the field was further cemented through my residency and fellowship experiences, as I enjoyed the long-term continuity I had with my liver disease patients and seeing the transformation before and after a liver transplant. As a hepatologist, I treasure the opportunity I have in getting to know and understand my patients and treating the whole person. Liver disease is often chronic and can affect many aspects of a person's health and life. I like my patients to be open with me, and I consider myself empathetic and a good listener. I am an advocate for patients within the health system and will do my best to stand up for their needs. Outside of my practice, I enjoy spending time with family. I grew up in Woodbury, Minnesota, and I am happy to be back in the area. I like trying new restaurants in the Twin Cities and taking advantage of the Minnesota summers and autumns. I am also an avid Vikings fan!.
