Dr. Chen Chen
Overview
Dr. Liz Chen’s early interest in human anatomy and physiology turned into a career in general surgery. She earned her medical degree at the Texas A&M University Health Science Center-College of Medicine in Temple. She went on to complete her general surgery residency at Houston Medical Hospital. Dr. Chen is board-certified with additional certifications in the Fundamentals of Endoscopic Surgery and the Fundamentals of Laparoscopic Surgery. She also is skilled in the use of the daVinci robotic surgical system for gallbladder, appendix and other minimally invasive surgeries. In addition to minimally invasive surgeries, Dr. Chen’s clinical focus lies in the diagnosis and treatment of female disorders. When not with her patients, she enjoys cooking, drawing and painting, and playing the kalimba, a musical instrument native to Zimbabwe.
