Dr. Grum attended medical school at The Medical College of Wisconsin, Milwaukee, WI and completed an internal medicine residency at Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, OH. Later, he completed a fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine from the University of Michigan and in 1982 then another research fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine from the University of Michigan in 1983. Since 1983, Dr. Grum has been a faculty member at the University of Michigan Health System. Currently, he is a Senior Associate Chair for Undergraduate Medical Education and Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine.
