With more than 27 years of experience, Jonathan C. Winick, MD, joined Northwell Health in 2017. Dr. Winick is a general neurologist who has dedicated his career to treating and improving the lives of people with ischemic stroke and other cerebrovascular accidents. He most frequently sees patients for headaches, epilepsy and other seizure disorders, Parkinson's disease and other tremor conditions, neuropathies, peripheral nerve conditions and nerve injuries.Dr. Winick has been with South Shore University Hospital (formerly Southside Hospital) since 1997 and helped develop its neurology department into what it is today. He works closely with other neurologists and neurosurgeons to provide a full spectrum of care, and he refers to the larger, multidisciplinary team of Northwell specialists as necessary.Dr. Winick earned his medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and completed his neurology residency at Albert Einstein College of Medicine-Yeshiva University. He has also completed a fellowship in clinical neurophysiology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine-Yeshiva University and is board certified in neurology. He is currently a member of the American Academy of Neurology.

He attained his MD from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and completed Neurology residency at the Neurological Institute of New York, at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center. Dr. Lassman completed his fellowship in Neuro-Oncology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, where he joined the faculty and served as fellowship director, until his return to NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center.
